ISU-Cedar Rapids Industry Study Now Available

A new report on food manufacturing and bioprocessing industries in Cedar Rapids is now available.  The study documents baseline activity, current trends in the marketplace, waste streams, and future opportunities.

Study research is the result of ongoing collaboration between Iowa State University (ISU) faculty, existing industry in Cedar Rapids, and City Economic Development Services staff.  The ISU-Cedar Rapids Partnership is a unique Technology-Based Economic Development (TBED) initiative intended to help foster growth of the food and bioprocessing cluster.  The partnership group has been meeting actively  since 2015.

Any Cedar Rapids companies operating in the food manufacturing or bioprocessing industries are welcome to participate in the partnership effort.  Contact David Connolly, Economic Development Specialist, at d.connolly@cedar-rapids.org or 319-286-5067 for more information.
